LIFEPOINT GIVES BACK! chapter two…

LIFEPOINT GIVES BACK is a project to enable the people of Lifepoint to be generous with that which God has blessed us with! On Sunday, January 25th, 2009, Lifepoint Church gave its people $12,000 in cash. Each person was given a cash envelope filled with $10, $20, $100, $500 or $1000. The only requests were that you could not give it back to Lifepoint, and you had to give it away to someone else in need!

We saw overwhelming response to this amazing project. Want to see for yourself? Just go here to read the comments of people who were blessed by giving to others.

LIFEPOINT GIVES BACK will continue for another chapter on Saturday, June 27th, 2009. Over 350 people will go out all over our community on over 35 teams to serve Fredericksburg in a practical way! This time, not by giving financially, but by radical acts of kindness. We want them to know that we do not simply say we love our community, we want to show it! Our goal is to leave as lasting impact on this town that we so desperately love.

On the bottom of this post is a small red link that says “LEAVE A COMMENT.”
We would love to know your name, how you blessed someone with this generosity, and how the recipient responded to your generosity. You may also leave a comment if you were on the receiving end of this project.

Terri Hill and I delivered sweets to several places, Fredericksburg Police Dept., F’burg Regional Transit, F’burg Rescue Squad, Hope House, F’burg Fire Dept., Salem Church Fire Dept., Chancellor Fire & Rescue, Wilderness Fire & Rescue. Everyone was truly grateful and surprised for the treats. It was a blessing for Terri and I to get to know one another and to serve together.
